To become a Permanent Carer the horse/s fully become your responsibility and if application approved, will be removed from website/FB and promoted as having found New Forever Home.

To become a Foster Carer you care for the horse/s as if your own but they remain MERCI horses and promoted on our website/FB in order to find a permanent Forever Home, which you may apply for.

To Surrender your horse/s please be aware we will conduct reference checks to ensure your reasons are genuine.

A Donation is required to MERCI to become the Permanent Carer of a horse/s. This is required to assist in recouping some costs in caring for our rescued Horses. Do you agree to Donate in order to become a Permanent Carer?

To Re-Home your horse/s through MERCI we will carry out all reference checks with the New Permanent Carer and draw up a contract for the approved applicant. The horse must not be released until the $150 or 10% (whichever is greater) Donation is paid to MERCI and application approved by MERCI prior to collection of the horse/s. Do you agree with this?

You are the rightful owner of mentioned horse/s and agree to surrender all rights to Merci. You are willing to hand ownership over to Merci. Merci will assess and give adequate care and training where required and will endeavour to find the best possible home for your horse/s under a Merci contract. You expect no payment for your horse/s knowing we will receive a donation for your horse/s when re-homed. You will be able to view publicly shown images but agree not to contact the new owner unless prior arrangement has been made in writing.

Our horses have usually been neglected and desperately need frequent handling and daily love. Are you comfortable enough with horses to give this horse the attention it deserves and are you prepared to do so?
