Kelly Rowe School of Riding (KRSR) includes Manley Lodge.
By signing the below, you agree to be bound by Kelly Rowe School of Riding together with Manley Lodge.
Terms & Conditions
By signing this form, you agree to:
1. Wear a helmet at all times whilst riding on the property;
2. Wear correct footwear at all times i.e., closed in shoes;
3. Promptly pay the costs of repair and replacement if you break any of the equipment eg: $75 per bridle;
4. Leave the horse and horse’s gear in the condition as you found it – please respect this policy;
5. Clear all horse manure left by your hired horse from the arena, yards and cross ties. – You will be provided with a wheelbarrow, muck out tools and a muck pile;
6. Maintain safe practices at all times;
7. Use courteous behaviour towards other students and staff at all times;
8. Enter the property at own risk, including the car parking area, and agree the proprietor is not liable for any loss or damage caused to you through your use or another users use of the hired horses;
9. The proprietor reserving the right to ask students and students friends/family to leave if unsafe or dangerous behaviours are observed;
10. Not to bring any dog on the property at any time;
11. Sign a liability disclaimer at time of hireage; and
12. Pay for and use the hired horse on the rated hourly basis and understand there is a degree of flexibility but agree not to abuse this policy;
13. You agree to the terms & conditions in this contract and any other contract that you have signed or entered into verbally or nonverbally to do with KRSR this includes obeying all signs located at KRSR or at Manley Lodge events;
14. Any photos taken by you or a professional photographer can be used by KRSR for advertising and KRSR has the right to remove any photos that do not show KRSR in a good light;
15. I agree not to complain about horse received for hire (we suit horses based on safety and riding abilities);
16. The proprietor reserving the right to ask students to dismount off horse if any abuse to horse, staff or other students are are observed;
17. Returning ALL borrowed gear including helmets, horse gear. Failure to do so will result in immediate charge eg: $65 per helmet;
18. Uniform polo tops to be worn for students who have been riding for two or more terms.
19. Student will pay attention for time of hireage. Failure to do may result in immediate termination of hireage.
20. I agree to be honest in all enrolment/application forms.
Lesson cancellation & Catch up Lesson Policy
Cancellation - If you wish to cancel a lesson please call/text Kelly at least one full hour before on 027 867 1603 or email (if more than 24 hours notice) kellythehorse@gmail.com If it is short notice please call/text do not email, we do not always have the opportunity to check the email throughout the day.
No show/Cancellation – If you do not show up or cancel your lesson at least a full hour before your scheduled time then this lesson will automatically be charged to your account.
Weather – Lessons are normally cancelled if the weather isn’t favourable. You will be notified by a text message at least one full hour before. If you have not heard from us, then your lesson is still on. – Fun days do not get cancelled.
Catch up lessons – When a term package is brought you are buying a set amount of lessons, catch up lessons will be offered if you have missed your scheduled lesson due to weather or sickness etc. If a catch up is unable to be made, then this lesson will become credited to the riders account.
Causal Students – Catch up lessons are not normally offered if you are unable to attend your lesson, this is generally for term students only.
By signing the below, you agree to be bound by Kelly Rowe School of Riding together with Manley Lodge. Horses, irrespective of their previous behaviour or characteristics, may act or react unpredictably based upon instinct, fright, or lack of proper control by the rider. I understand that the following describes some, but not all, of the risk, dangers or conditions inherent in horseback riding and equestrian sports:
1. The propensity of a horse to behave in ways that may result in injury, harm, or death to persons on or around them;
2. The unpredictability of a horse’s reaction to sounds, sudden movement, and unfamiliar objects, persons, other animals, or other things;
3. Certain hazards such as surface and subsurface conditions;
4. Collisions with other horses or objects including the ground, fences, gates, trees, or other obstacles;
5. A falling horse landing on its rider;
6. Being stepped on, kicked, trampled or bitten by a horse;
7. Becoming entangled in the stirrups, reins, or other gear;
8. The potential of a fellow rider to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to an injury to the Hirer.
I (”Hirer”) have read and understood the above risks and
acknowledge that horseback riding and equestrian sports can be extremely dangerous.
I assume full responsibility and liability for all such possibilities including the possibility that I may have an accident while hiring a KRSR horse.
I take full responsibility for the horse I am riding and indemnify KRSR from any loss or damage that may occur caused by the horse while under my control.
I confirm that I am competent to listen to KRSR staff plus other students and I assume full and total responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur as result of my use of the horse.
I agree that I shall not hold KRSR responsible for any injury suffered by the use of the horse and will not claim any costs or compensation in regard to said injury.
I agree that I will not hold KRSR responsible for any loss or damage, KRSR suffers or incurs in relation to my use of the horse.
I agree to inform KRSR of any damage to the horse immediately upon becoming aware that damage has occurred.
