Family Camp Ethos

Family Camp has been designed to strengthen families. It will be a relaxing and relational time just what you need after a busy year.

The Christian values input for the adults consists of short inspirational messages by Alan Thorp, with practical applications for your new year ahead. There is a childrens and teens programme as well.

Alan Thorp - Alan is married to Libby and has four children, Anna 9, Josh 8, and twins Samuel and Renee aged 4.

Alan and Libby attended Regent College in Vancouver from 2007 to 2009 where Alan was awarded a ThM in New Testament.

He currently works for Habitat for Humanity New Zealand Limited in Auckland as the Chief Operating Officer, and also teaches at Pathways College of Bible and Mission as Adjunct Faculty.

His teaching includes 1 Corinthians, Romans and Galatians.

Alan and Libby are keen to live out an authentic, vulnerable and real faith in their everyday lives.

They attend Eden Community Church in Auckland.

The family enjoys being active on their scooters and bikes!

From 27^th December 2019 dinner at 5:30pm until 1^st January 2020 morning tea at 10.00am.

Mums get a break from deciding what to cook for dinner, cooking dinner and dishes. Mum can sit back and relax while dad and the kids do all the dishes and our kitchen staff do the menu and cooking.

Bring Bedding and pillow (except in units), personal gear, swimwear, toiletries, a good book to read.

On-Site Activities include Mini Golf, Swimming, Table Tennis, Beach Walks, Kayaks, Tennis, Indoor Bowls, Volleyball, Water Sports, Craft, Scooters, Green Machines, Indoor Sports - Basketball etc, Childrens Playground, Big Screen Movies, Swing Trolleys and heaps more!

Off-Site Activites include 18 Hole Golf, Ferry to Auckland City, Auckland Zoo, Motat, Ice Skating, 10 Pin Bowling, Movies, Car Ferry to Waiheke Island, Cafes, Sky Tower, Howick Historical Village, Kelly Tarltons, Auckland Museum, Sylvia Park Shopping Mall, Botany Town Centre, and so much more!

We are only a 30 minute drive from Downtown Auckland or the Airport; but we are a world away from the city itself.

Accommodation Options

Willow Park has 12 units each with their own ensuite, each sleep 4 people with 2 single beds and a set of bunks.

We also have 15 family rooms in Ladlaw Lodge that sleep 6-10 people ~ shared modern bathrooms.

CAMP IS RESTRICTED TO 27 FAMILIES IN THE UNITS AND LODGE PLUS 10 FAMILIES CAMPING.
