Thank you for volunteering for McHappy Day 2017. This will be the 11th year that Scouts Australia has been involved in the day which last year raised $3.95million for seriously ill Australian children and their families.
Please complete the details below and submit by Monday the 11th of September 2017. You will be matched with a McDonalds restaurant, and a few weeks before the day will be sent the contact details for the McHappy Day event manager for that restaurant. We have asked you to nominate a number of restaurants in case other Scout Groups also nominate the same restaurant.
A few other points to note:
The McHappy Day collecting will take place from 10.30-3pm in shifts of about an hour (this can be shortened if you have younger members). A maximum of 10 people per shift is recommended. The exact times and lengths of your shifts can be discussed in conjunction with your McHappy Day event manager.
If you have any concerns beforehand or on the day, make sure you contact your event manager. On the day please be aware of the safety of your youth members at all times. Feel free to raise concerns if you don't think the area you have been allocated is safe or provides adequate shade.
Following the day, your youth members will be provided with a commemorative badge.
