  • Bridging the gap between the Artist, the Gallery and the Community. The Art Passage is certainly not your average gallery. Since opening in May 2018, The Art Passage has been providing an incredible opportunity for arists to exhibit their work.

    It is with the support of Crockers Paint & Wallpaper, and art gallery director Korynn Morrison, that artists now have a professional gallery space for both Group and Solo Exhibitions to use without the added stress of exhibition fees!

    As part of Crockers newly refurbished wallpaper showroom, The Art Passage gives reason for people to design their decor around ART, your art!

    As Sutherland shires Specialised Retail Business of the year 2017, Crockers Paint & Wallpaper has graciously provided an already flourishing platform for great artistic exposure. With an engaged audience of Trade, DIY and interior Designers, your work can now be seen by those already looking to improve their homes!

    • Artist’s can apply to use the space for both Group and Solo Exhibitions, over a 2-4 week period.
    • Use of the space is FREE of charge - (30% commission will be taken on all sales).
    • The Nook is our new workshop space located within The Art Passage and is also available for you to book should you wish to run an artist talk/ workshop and or live demo throughout the course of your exhibition. For more details please click HERE .
    • The Art Passage will be open 6 Days during Crockers Paint & Wallpaper business trading hours:
      Monday- Friday 7:00 am- 5:00 pm
      Saturday 8:00 am- 4:00 pm
    • Artist's are NOT required to man the gallery space. The Crockers team and Art Passage Director will happily do that for you.
    • Should you wish to have Opening Drinks, a time is to be organised with the Director prior to the install of your show. Opening nights are to be held Saturday during the day or Saturday evening after business hours. Drinks and food are to be organised by the artist at their expense. Should you wish to serve alcohol, it is the responsibility of the artist to supply someone with an RSA (Responsible Service Of Alcohol) to serve drinks throughout your opening event. We will provide tables, table cloths and ice tubs for your convenience.
    • We are a COVID safe registered business and are lucky to have over 460 metres of floor space within Crockers Paint & Wallpaper. This allows for plenty of social distancing. Please note that names and contact details will be taken on entry at all opening events. We encourage all artists and visitors to use our wash basins and hand sanitiser which is readily available for your convenience.
    • All artists’ are required to self promote throughout the duration of their exhibition. It is the responsibility of the artist to create a hard copy invite (should you wish to have one). Logo’s will be provided as part of the Exhibition Package should your application be successful.
    • Across the duration of your show, we will share your invite along with images of your work across our social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook) as well as our newsletter.
    • Please ensure you are a member of The Art Passage Artist Network  so that you don't miss out on artist information and group exhibition opportunities.

    • With the help of The Art Passage director, all artist’s are provided with curatorial guidelines and pre-training on how to use the Gallery Hanging System. An Induction time will be organised prior to the installation of your exhibition.
    • Whilst we will encourage all people not to touch the work, it is the artist's responsibility to ensure that all D-Rings/ fixtures and or framing are of professional quality and suitable hanging strength. Our gallery hanging system consists of professional standard gallery tracking, steel cable and push button hooks. Each hook rated for 20kg.
    • Insurance is the responsibility of the artist. The Crockers team will ensure that appropriate signage is shown to prevent work from being touched or knocked.
    • If there are any issues that arise with your work throughout the exhibition, a Crockers team member will notify the artist immediately to resolve the problem.
    • Installation of your exhibition must commence Sunday 9:00 am and finish before 12:00 midday. Additional time can be provided with prior agreement from The Art Passage Director.
    • Out of respect for The Art Passage and the Crocker family, who have provided you with this opportunity free of charge. We ask that artwork hanging in your show be selling exclusively through The Art Passage throughout your exhibition period.
    • Bumping out must be completed on the final Saturday of Exhibition between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. It is the artist’s responsibility to make sure that the area is clean and clear for the next Artist.
    • Artist’s will be notified as soon as an artwork is sold and paid for. Crocker’s staff/ the Art Passage Director will provide contact details of buyer to the artist. It is then the responsibility of the artist to organise appropriate pick up and packaging of the work.
    • Your sales (less 30% commission) will be deposited into your chosen bank account at the completion of your exhibition. Please allow 7 business days for our administration to send through your sales summary along with final payment.
    • All work must be collected by buyers or taken by the artist at the conclusion of their show.
