Advancing Teaching and Learning (ATL)
The Queensland Government is providing additional funding of $150 million to the three school sectors over three years from 2019 to 2021. The Catholic education share of this funding is $2,126,218. ATL provides for two emerging needs:
Firstly, it provides for Catholic School Authorities to advance teaching and learning through making decisions that best suit their local communities and support their strategic plans for good student learning outcomes. The actions/initiatives are to come from any of the four focus areas:
- Improving teaching and learning
- Support for high achieving teachers to meet the APST for Highly Accomplished or Lead Teachers
- Development of leaders
- Improving student wellbeing.
Secondly, the ATL will provide for the Research Partner School Project (RSPSP) to enable participating schools to engage in collaborative action research to improve student learning across Queensland Catholic school communities. This initiative supports the notion of working in partnership with experts to provide quality research to guide collaborative action research of the highest quality and using latest neuroscience understandings.
Expressions of Interest to join the Research Partner School Project close of November 15. You should only enter this option if you have been selected.
