    Sunday, 29 June 2025: Online/video audition submission deadline for consideration for a Semester 2, 2025 offer. 

    Current Students

    Sunday, 6 July 2025: Online/video audition submission deadline for consideration for a Semester 2, 2025 offer.

     

    Semester 1, 2026

    Future Students

    Sunday, 11 January 2026: Online/video audition submission deadline for consideration for a Semester 1, 2026 offer.

    ** In-person auditions will be scheduled for November/December 2025 (exact dates to be confirmed), at the Conservatorium of Music, Newcastle NSW.

    Thursday 29 January 2026: Final deadline to list music programs as a UAC preference for Semester 1, 2026.

    Schools Recommendation Scheme

    Sunday, 12 October 2025: Online/video audition submission deadline for consideration for an offer through the Schools Recommendation Scheme.

    Year 12 ATAR-Based Offer Rounds

    Monday, 8 December 2025: Online/video audition submission deadline for consideration in UAC’s main ATAR-based offer round for Year 12 students.

    Current Students

    Sunday 7 December 2025: Online/video audition submission deadline for consideration for a Semester 1, 2026 offer. 

    ** In-person auditions will be scheduled for mid to late November 2025 at the Conservatorium of Music, Newcastle NSW.

  • SECTION FOUR – Previous Studies

    Have you undertaken, or are currently undertaking, any formal courses in music/performing arts?

  • SECTION FIVE – Written Statement

    The written statement requires you to provide responses to five questions in your own words (approximately 200-250 words each). Please relate each statement to your personal experiences and opinions about music and/or performing arts. The statement helps us learn more about you and your love of music as well as your written communication skills.

    Please take time to review your statements and use correct spelling, punctuation and sentence structure.

  •  SECTION SIX – VIDEO AUDITION AND PORTFOLIO/CV

    Please click on the link below and submit a summary of your musical and/or performing achievements to date. A short Creative Portfolio/Journal/CV no more than two pages in a single document (PDF file or DOCX file) is sufficient.

    There is no need to upload copies of certificates etc.

    Your Creative Portfolio could include ensembles you have been a part of, lessons you have undertaken and performances you have been involved in.

    If you have an up-to-date web profile you may prefer to include a URL in the comments field instead of uploading a document.

  • Please provide a link to your pre-recorded video(s) hosted on an external server (YouTube is preferred for ease of viewing). Videos should be concise and not contain significant editing ("top and tailing" is permitted, but the performance should be a single take).

    If you are uploading your video audition to Google Drive please ensure you have set the permissions to 'Anyone on the internet with the link can view' so our academic staff can view your audition.

    The video audition requirements are the same as face-to-face auditions and should demonstrate you performing two contrasting pieces of music. You should also include a short verbal statement introducing yourself and indicating what you are playing.

    The quality of the audio and video should be sufficient to adequately hear what you are playing and see you. A mobile phone, tablet, etc may be used for recording but the video should not exceed 720p 25fps (maximum). Please ensure you record in a quiet environment in sufficient light with the camera mounted in a static location.
