Mount Eliza Soccer Academy Kangaroos Places
All players that get selected into our U10, U11, U12 Kangaroos teams and 13/14 Girls A-team will get a place in the MESC Academy Kangaroo's development program. The objective of the Academy is to prepare players that want to move on with greater skills to enable them to play to a level that sees them transition into Junior National Premier League Football or into other advanced pathways. The academy will provide a training program that is equal to any of the local NPL clubs at affordable fees.
Our Academy teams will get the following;
- In addition to one night of training with their regular Kangaroos coach, players get one night of elite training with Gary Talbot for 20 weeks between March and October. Gary is an ex NPL Technical Director and brings a wealth of experience to the club.
- Players in the Academy teams will also be representing the club at minimum 5 pre-paid elite tournaments a year
- Receive an Academy playing/training top.
The academy fees will be in addition to regular MESC fees and will be advised shortly.
Each Academy team will comprise of a total of 16 spots in each age group, this will be made up from the core Kangaroos team plus selected players showing potential in their development from other teams.
Players that aren't initially offered a Kangaroos/Academy spot prior to Christmas will get a second chance when we invite all players back for our final trials in early February. February trials will also be the first phase in the selection process of our Wallabies teams comprising players wanting the opportunity to play at the highest level alongside the kangaroos/Academy teams.
The success of our club is built from the ground-up, therefore in 2020 there will be an increased focus on our Joeys and Wallabies teams to ensure that players in these groups get every chance to further develop their skills via our skills acceleration programs and get every opportunity to #next level.
The club will have further exciting announcements to make closer to the commencement of next season, with confirmation of the clubs overall Football leadership group responsible for the development and support of all our players from Joeys, Wallabies to Kangaroos/Academy teams in 2020.
Please share this link with anyone who you think might be interested in participating in our trials.
Many thanks
