THE STATEMENT OF FAITH

THE STATEMENT OF FAITH OF THE CHRISTIAN LAWYERS SOCIETY
IS THE APOSTLE’S CREED:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again from the dead,
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of the Father almighty,
From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy catholic church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

OBJECT

The object of the Christian Lawyers Society Inc is the promotion of the Christian Religion, particularly as it relates to the legal profession.
By clicking submit, you agree with the object and statement of faith (see below) of the Christian Lawyers Society Inc, agree to comply with the Christian Lawyers Society’s Constitution (available upon request), and would like to become a member.
Once your membership application is submitted and payment is confirmed, it will be presented before the management committee for consideration. You will be notified via email upon acceptance or rejection of your application within one (1) month of submission.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO APPLICATION WILL BE CONSIDERED UNLESS PAYMENT IS MADE ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION

Any fees paid for membership applications that are unsuccessful will be refunded in full, along with any donations paid.

CLS relies significantly upon the generosity of its members. If you would like to make a donation along with your membership application, please perform a separate transaction if possible, and use 'donation' as the payment reference.
Public Liability Insurance

Prospective and renewing members are advised pursuant to section 70 of the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Qld) that Christian Lawyers Society Inc has not taken out public liability insurance.

The requirement for insurance is considered at least annually, and also on a case-by-case basis for specific events. Should you have any questions regarding this, please contact the CLS Secretary at clssecretaryqld@gmail.com
