Tundrai Finnish Lapphunds - Puppy Application Logo
  • PLEASE NOTE: We will only be accepting homes where our precious lappies will be a part of the family and home, both inside and out. Dogs are not a yard accessory to us and as such will only place puppies with families and individuals that include them heavily in their lives, giving them all the love they deserve (and more).

Our lappies are for life, and in any event that you can no longer look after them and they need to be rehomed, they must be returned to us, as per their puppy sales agreement.

Please fill out the following application if you are interested in a Tundrai lappie.

    • Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Tundrai Finnish Lapphunds, but it does not guarantee that you will get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it may be unlikely, we are very careful with our puppy home placements here at Tundrai and reserve the right to refuse any placement at any time.

APPROVAL: I will review applications as fast as possible. If your home seems to be a good fit for a Tundrai Finnish Lapphund, I will get in contact with you in a timely manner.

PICKING A PUPPY: Here at Tundrai we place puppies to homes based on suitability, temperament etc. We do not allow owners to pick their puppies, although this may come into heavy consideration in selections. Structural and behavioural assessments will be made at 7.5 weeks, at which point I will notify successful owners of which puppy has been allocated to which home.

GOING HOME: We cannot hold puppies for extended times; it is critical for their social development that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe. If you have a big vacation planned or have events that would conflict with a young puppy, please let us know in advanced so that we can help arrange care for your puppy or direct you to some litter plans that may better suit your timeframe.

CONTRACT: Puppies will go out on contracts and will not be sent to their new homes without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. These will be provided prior to request of payment. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.

SPAY/NEUTER: We require spay/neuter at or before 24 months for all limited register puppies. Puppies under partnership agreements or sold to other registered breeders / exhibitors will have relevant terms stipulated within their sales contracts.

BREEDING: Dogs from Tundrai are not to be bred from unless sold to a currently registered ANKC breeder or someone aspiring to be a registered ANKC breeder. No Tundrai dog on the limited register is for breeding use.

DEPOSITS: AU$1000.00 is required as a deposit when puppies reach 4 weeks old in order to secure a puppy. This deposit is refundable in full, where a buyer may change their mind, have a change in circumstances, or a suitable puppy is not available within the litter.

PAYMENT: The remaining payment is required after puppy allocations are made from when the puppy is 7.5 weeks old. This must be paid and cleared before puppies are to fly out or leave us here at Tundrai. A receipt will be provided along with other puppy paperwork as described below. Price of puppies may vary from litter to litter depending on outlay and cost of each litter, and will be disclosed to potential puppy owners once puppies have been born.

REGISTRATION PAPERS: Our puppies will come registered with ANKC, either on the limited register if a pet, or mains register if in a partnership agreement with us, a show home or to a registered breeder. Their pedigrees will be provided, along with a change of microchip ownership form, eye screen data, Orivet full breed DNA profile and parentage confirmation, worming sheet, vaccination certificate, vet check certificate, copies of parent health information and testing, and 6 weeks free insurance with PetPlan. These files will be sent out with their puppy packs.
