About Orange Sky
Orange Sky is a not-for-profit organisation focused on the provision of free laundry and showers to people experiencing homelessness. We're growing, and fast. Since 2014, we've expanded our reach to every capital city in Australia and most recently, we have established Orange Sky New Zealand. Next steps include further growth in New Zealand, urban and remote Australia, and potentially elsewhere across the globe.
Our fleet of laundry and shower vehicles and fixed laundry pods are built right here in our Brisbane workshop. There are a LOT of moving parts (literally) and the cost of any misfires is high – keeping our assets operational means our volunteers can help more friends on the street, and increase our social impact in the community.
The Asset Manager works within the Operations department, and leads a small team of Workshop and Trades Assistants. In a nutshell, this role is responsible for:
Management and maintenance of vehicle fleet and fixed assets to minimise downtime and increase efficiency and social impact
Vehicle and asset incident response and management
Developing and implementing processes to optimise workflow, stock procurement and management
Development and delivery of training and support resources for staff and volunteers
Contributing to the safety of the Orange Sky community and workplace
Monitoring, measuring and evaluating vehicle operations program delivery impact
Convinced this is the role for you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll have a background in operations/asset management and experience working with systems to deliver projects and outcomes. You'll be an exceptional leader, and have a positive, proactive attitude to solving problems, and a genuine passion for our cause.
