    Community Art Show at ArtSpace Gallery, Space2b

  • About Space2b
    Space2b is a social enterprise supporting newly arrived migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum to become financially independent. Space2b workspace includes a shop, ArtSpace Gallery, design studio, workshop, café and small business hub in the City of Port Phillip. 

    We are very pleased to bring back the St Kilda Affordable Art Show.

    Open to both emerging and established artists, the St Kilda Affordable Art Show is an exhibition that celebrates the power of creativity and the expression of joy in the lead up to Christmas and New Year celebrations.

    The show is open to creatives of all kinds, exhibiting a wide array of artistic styles and mediums and will run from 29th November 2022 until 28th January 2023 in the Space2b ArtSpace at 144 Chapel St, St Kilda.

    Entry is $25.00 non-refundable and one entry per person is allowed. 

    Registration is $10.00 for artists from a culturally and linguistically diverse community or background. Pay your fee through Humanitix and register with your receipt number in the box below.

    Registrations close Friday 18th October. Late registrations will not be accepted.

    Note: One application per artist only. Multiple entries will not be accepted

    Art Pricing - limited to $300

    As an affordable art show, we are liiting prices to a max of $300 per piece, with the exception of artists donating their commission to benefit the work of Space2b.

  • Tax Declaration

    It's important that as an exhibitor, you provide an ABN to Space2b or indicate that you are a hobby artist, otherwise we are by law, obliged to withhold 48.5% for the Australian Tax Office from any sale on top of the commission which goes to Space2b. 

  • Payment of Artwork Sales 

    All sales payments to artists will be processed within 21 working days after the exhibition closes. 25% commission will be deducted by Space2b on any art work sales.

    To help us process payments, please provide us with your bank account details.

     

  • Artwork Information

  • Artworks Criteria:

    • On canvas
    • Medium: water-colour, acryllic or oils accepted
    • Artwork can be full body, not just head and shoulders portrait
    • Photo Realism works accepted
    • Collage works accepted
    • Video not accepted
    • Artwork must be the original work of the registered artist, and not exhibited previously
    • Artwork must measure minimum 30cm and 90cm maximum on longest side  
    • Artwork must be ready to hang (see image below) with cord and D-rings attached
    • Reverse of paintings must be labelled with your name, artwork title (Celebrity/local hero chosen) and price.

  • Submission Process

    Once you have registered and signed the T&C's, you have until Thursday 17th November to complete your portrait. Once your portrait is completed, please email a high resolution image of your artwork to artspace@space2b.com.au.

  • DELIVERY OF ARTWORK

    DATE: Artwork delivery for installation to Space2b at 144 Chapel St, St Kilda on either Saturday 28th or Monday 30th November 11am-3pm.

    Space2b will notify you of your assigned delivery time slot for delivery one week prior to delivery date.

    BRING WITH YOU:

    • A copy of your Registration form & confirmation email from Space2b (screenshot is fine)
    • Your payment receipt 
    • Your completed, ready to hang Celebrity artwork as per T&C’s
