To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from D.A.B.S. that includes an application, adoption fee, and adoption papers. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary.

Animals are for life. When you adopt an animal, it is a commitment you make to the animal, for the lifetime of that animal. By adopting a cat or dog from D.A.B.S., you’re making a firm.commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the animal, which can be up to 20 years. Adopting a cat is a serious commitment, but one that is incredibly rewarding.

If you are unable to make such a long-term commitment, we would be happy to have you become a foster parent instead, or consider volunteering in other ways. It’s a great way to make a difference in an animal’s life without taking on such a long-term commitment.

By submitting this form, I/we acknowledge that all information on this form is true and correct. I/we understand that any misrepresentation of facts may result in D.A.B.S. refusing adoption privileges to me/us. If my/our request for adoption is approved and later D.A.B.S. discovers the above information is not true or correct, D.A.B.S. reserves the right to remove the adopted cat from my home.

Please note all cats and kittens go on a two week trial.
