OUTSEAM - with pants not worn, lay on a flat surface and measure from the very top of the pants to the very bottom of the pants, this is the correct outseam measurement.

Width of pants - while pants are still lying on a flat surface, measure the bottom width to determine the pants that fit you comfortably.
