  • A SSV Spirit of Sport Award is awarded to a participating member school competing in each SSV State Final. The bannerette is awarded to the school adjudged to have best exemplified positive values, behaviours, respect, integrity and leadership at the event. Schools who have been awarded a Spirit of Sport Award this calendar year are invited to apply for the overall award. Schools should show evidence of any / all the following: 

    • Spirit of Sport: Positive attitude, love of the sport, celebrating others, inclusive environment 
    • Respect: Respect for opponents, teammates, officials, coaches, and spectators 
    • Integrity: Fair play, honesty, accepting mistakes 
    • Leadership: Motivating others, setting a good example, supporting teammates 

    Schools can self-nominate for this award; however, one school may also nominate another.
