CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS
- At all times play by the rules and play with good sportsmanship
- Strive for excellence in everything you do.
- Work on your game at training sessions and at home.
- Work hard to support your team mates. Encourage them in a positive manner.
- Dress appropriately for all training sessions – (Phoenix uniform)
- Arrive at training sessions early enough to prepare yourself to start exactly on time.
- Contact your team manager at least 2 hours before the start of training, if you are ill, or unable to attend training.
- Discuss any known match unavailability with your team manager as early as possible (school activity clashes take preference).
- Report all injuries to your coach or team manager.
- Arrive at matches at least 45 minutes before the kick-off time.
- All players should be willing to sit on the bench for the age-up if requested.
- At home games players are encouraged to watch and support the team above them, if not all games.
- Socks must remain pulled up and shirts must be tucked in throughout each match.
- Never argue with a referee.
- Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials, sledging of other players and deliberately provoking an opponent are not acceptable or permitted behaviours.
- Co-operate with your coach, manager, team-mates and opponents. Without them there would not be a competition.
- Respect all players (team mates and opponents), parents, officials, and spectators, regardless of gender, cultural background, age or religion.
- Harassment will not be tolerated in any form.
CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS
- Remember that your child participates in futsal for his enjoyment, not yours.
- Positive encouragement should always be given. Never ridicule or yell at your child or any other team member for making a mistake.
- Focus on the child's efforts and performance rather than the winning or losing.
- Encourage your child always to play according to the rules and to settle disagreements without resorting to hostility or violence.
- Remember that children learn best by example. Appreciate good performances and skillful plays by all participants.
- Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from futsal activities.
- Respect officials' decisions and teach your child to do likewise.
- Leave all coaching to the coaches, sideline instructions only cause confusion and will not be tolerated.
- Show appreciation for coaches, officials and administrators. Without them, your child could not participate.
- Do not argue with or abuse referees.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young player regardless of their cultural background or religion.
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all spectators and never verbally or physically abuse anyone.
