     For athletes seeking nomination to ISU Events in Singles, Pairs and Ice Dance

     To be completed by athletes in the ISA International Pool.

    Both partners in Pairs and Ice Dance couples need to complete a separate form.

    BASIC NOVICE, INTERMEDIATE NOVICE - 3 EVENTS ONLY
  • ADVANCED NOVICE ONLY - 5 EVENTS ONLY
  • This Contract and Nomination Form Contains 5 Sections:

    Note: Please upload a current portrait photo of yourself to be used if required for submission to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for accreditation purposes.

    Accreditation Photo Instructions:

    • Passport-style photo
    • no smiles, with a clear, plain coloured background
    • jpg file not smaller than 50Kb and not bigger than 3Mb
    • File name must be your full name (eg. John Smith.jpg)
  • Athlete Agreement:

    1. Undertake pre-event training in a responsible & enthusiastic manner & if requested, provide ISA with a copy of my training schedule.
    2. Undertake a HP Review (short and free programs) prior to assignment confirmation (if required).
    3. Undergo a medical and/or injury assessment (if required by ISA CMO) for any illness or injury and supply a written report on the assessment.
    4. Submit competition entry forms to ISA by the specified due dates.
    5. Permit the email addresses provided to be included on distribution lists and similar, for the purposes of disseminating information to athletes.
    6. Observe and comply with anti-doping policies of ISA and ISU. Athletes will be added to the ASADA testing pool database.
    7. Inform ISA HP and ISA CMO of any injuries or illnesses occurring, immediately after they occur, and to keep ISA and ISA CMO fully informed regarding the injury and prognoses and whether the injury has any potential to prevent competing in events  from the assigned time until the event.
    8. Complete any forms and request made by Ice Skating Australia.
    9. Athletes will not sign or accept any funding/scholarships/sponsorship/fee for advertising/promotion or the like, from any organisation, apart from ISA, ISU or an affiliated State or figure skating Club body, without first seeking approval from ISA. ISA will in its absolute discretion decide if it will approve the funding/scholarships/sponsorship/fee for advertising/promotion or the like. For clarity, the provision of services in kind or no cost, payment of any expenses directly to the provider, including but not limited to travel, training etc….., will all be considered a form of funding/scholarships/sponsorship/fee for advertising/promotion or the like, and approval for such must be sought from ISA before it is accepted by the athlete. ISA will in its absolute discretion decide if it will allow  the funding/scholarships/sponsorship/fee for advertising/promotion or the like.
    10. All international assignments are conditional upon athletes completing, and abiding by an ISA Athlete Agreement.
    11. Athletes who do not sign this duly completed Athlete Agreement, will not be eligible to be entered in any international or ISU event.

    The Agreement commences on the date the Agreement is executed and concludes 28 days after the completion of the final ISU Championship event of the season.

    ISA will not enter an athlete in any international event whilst there is any outstanding debt owed to ISA by the athlete or a coach/former coach of an athlete.
     
    ISA will not enter an athlete in an international event without first obtaining payment for any costs likely to be incurred by the athlete/athletes coach/family members travelling with the athlete to the event.
     
    If in the view of ISA an athlete has not fully prepared for an event satisfactorily, then in its absolute discretion, ISA may cancel the athletes nomination and appoint the next ranked athlete to attend the event.

  • Assignments to ISU International Competitions will be made by the Selection Review Panel based upon the International Competitions Nomination Criteria 2019/ 2020 (Singles/Pair Skating/Ice Dancing).

     

    Please indicate all ISU Basic Novice A, Basic Novice B, Advance  Novice, Junior or Senior ISU International Competitions that you would attend, listing them in priority. Athletes should consider travel costs and their training plans and any potential conflicts (eg. exams). Once submitted, athletes are unable to change their mind, only accept or decline their international assignment/s

  • Section 4 - State Association Approval

    Please note that your application will be sent to your state association for verification.
  • I declare that the details above have been checked and are correct. I can confirm I am a current member of my State Association and I eligible for international events (ie. is Age Eligible, ISU Rule 108 (as per age limits commencing 1 July 2021) and meets all ISU and ISA citizenship and residency requirements to be able to represent Australia)
