About
Waima to Laingholm Pest Free (W2L) is a non-profit communicty group aimed at the eradication of introduced pests in our local area. As part of this iniative we offer equipment for pest control at low cost.
W2L Membership Conditions
We ask that all members of Waima to Laingholm Pest Free agree to the following conditions:
- The property you carry out pest control on must be within our control area. Generally, if your post code is 0604, then you're in our area.
- Deploy your trap(s) for each of our pulse seasons. Pulse dates for 2020 are:
26th January - 3rd February
20th April - 4th May
27th July - 10th August
26th October - 9th November
- Submit catch data to W2L. This assists us in visualising the impact we are having as a group on controlling pests in our area, identify "hot spots", improve our methods and use to apply for funding.
- Return equipment purchased from W2L to the W2L team if you stop using it. A part refund can be given depending on its condition. Returned equipment will be put to use at another property or trap line.
