About
Waima to Laingholm Pest Free (W2L) is a non-profit communicty group aimed at the eradication of introduced pests in our local area. As part of this iniative we offer equipment for pest control at low cost.
W2L Membership Conditions
We ask that all members of Waima to Laingholm Pest Free agree to the following conditions:
- The property you carry out pest control on must be within our control area. Generally, if your post code is 0604, then you're in our area.
- Deploy your trap(s) for each of our pulse seasons. We typically have four of these a year aligned with the seasons. You're of course welcome to continue with pest control outside of these dates.
- Submit catch data to W2L. This assists us in visualising the impact we are having as a group on controlling pests in our area, identify "hot spots", improve our methods and use to apply for funding.
- Return equipment purchased from W2L to the W2L team if you stop using it. Returned equipment will be put to use at another property or trap line.
