NOTE:
The SRT will occur within the Training Environment on the Assessment Platform. At the beginning of 2020, QCAA provided to schools the credentials needed to access the Training Environment. For each school, 80 test attempts per year level had been created. QCAA will need to know of your school's intention to participate to assist national processes and to provide support as needed. To have your school's credentials sent to you again, please email NAPLANOnline@qcaa.qld.edu.au.
Loaded into the Training Environment is an Omnibus Test, which is labelled SRT20. Schools may choose to participate in either the Omnibus Test (SRT20), the Writing Test or both tests with their students. The Writing Test is not avaialble for Year 3 students online.
There is no requirement to do any specific combination of tests, or minimum number of test domains or a minimum number of students for your cohorts. The other test domains in the Training Environment are intended for training staff and preferably not for student use. However, as the acutal NAPLAN test is for years 3, 5, 7 and 9, schools may choose to do the SRT test with students who are currently in Years 2, 4, 6 and 8 as they will be the cohort sitting the online test next year.
Start / End Test Time
- The Writing test is 42 minutes and the Omnibus test is 45 minutes.
- You are asked to enter the time the test will start and finish (exclude preparation time). You may need to allow 15-20 mins before the test is scheduled to start to prepare students, set-up devices, etc as per the Test Administration Protocols.
- If students have been given extra time to complete the test due to the application of a Disability Adjustment Code (DAC), please allow sufficient time for them to complete the test.
Please complete for each participating year level and test domain.
