Reimagining Wheelchair Sport to Achieve Inclusive Social Sport
Reverse inclusion involves people without disabilities participating in activities suited to those with disabilities. Inclusive sport settings are challenging, as people with physical disabilities can require adaptations to mainstream sports. This often leads to exclusion from sport or students with disability being at a disadvantage in the sport, specifically this is prevalent in educational settings, such as school physical education events. Sport not only provides health benefits associated with being physically active, it can have important social benefits, requiring actions to increase the inclusivity of sport.
