1.1 The promoter of this Competition is Australian Wool Network (the "Promoter") (ABN), Gate 2, Dennistoun Avenue Guildford New South Wales 2161, Australia.
2. Competition Regions
2.1 The Competition is a national competition with three (3) defined categories known as Regions (“DNA Wool Region”); Flinders/Outback, Limestone Coast and Eyre Peninsula.
3.1 Entry to the Competition is open to Australian residents. An entrant must be an individual and not a company or organisation. Entrants under 18 years of age need to have the consent of their parent or guardian to enter. Employees of the Promoter and any person associated with the Competition, and any organisation or individual associated with the provision of the prize(s), are not eligible to enter.
3.2 Each entry must be entered in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may in its discretion refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
4.1 Entry into the Competition is free.
5. Competition Period
5.1 The Competition opens at 9:00am AEST on 25/02/2018 and closes for;
a. the Flinders/Outback region at 5.00pm AEST on 28/03/2019;
b. the Limestone Coast region at 5:00pm AEST 29/4/2019, and;
c. the Eyre Peninsula region at 5:00pm AEST on 29/07/2019 ("Competition Period").
Any entry received after the expiry of the Competition Period will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
6.1 To enter the Competition, you must:
a. use the official Entry Form available from https://www.woolnetwork.com.au/dna.html
b. ensure you nominate the DNA Wool Region you wish to enter
c. provide a written submission (up to 500 words) detailing your strong connection to the DNA Wool Region for which you are entering. For example, entrants may currently reside in, or reside in a local town within, or have immediate family who live in, or who may be woolgrowers in the DNA Wool Region, etc.
d. Provide one single Design per entry
e. Provide a Design that:
i. is the original work of the entrant;
ii. does not contain commercial illustrations, photographs or words;
iii. has not been previously communicated to the public
iv. has not been reproduced or used for any other purpose other than as an entry into this Competition.
f. submit your Entry:
i. designs must be a drawing or illustration in hard copy format or as a digital scan, drawing or illustration in a JPG format;
ii. other supporting documents may be submitted in WORD DOC or PDF format
iii. via email to email@example.com
iv. or by post to PO Box 266, GUILDFORD NSW 2161.
6.2 The submitted Design:
a. must be a minimum size of 210mm x 148mm and maximum size of 420mm x 594mm;
b. may be in colour or black and white;
c. may be a painting or drawing.
6.3 Entrants acknowledge and agree to work with the Promoter and its affiliates to best interpret the Design based on manufacturing production requirements.
6.4 By entering the Competition, entrants understand that the Design will be owned and used by the Promoter for the purposes of manufacturing woollen products and promotion of the DNA Design Series and DNA natural fibre provenance program.
6.5 You must submit a completed entry form.
6.6 All entries become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned to the entrants.
7.1 The Prize Winner from each of the Competition DNA Wool Regions will:
a. receive $1,000.00 AUD cash;
b. have their Design manufactured into a woollen homewares product;
c. receive finished product featuring the entrants winning Design valued up to $500.00.
8.1 This Competition in run in Australia only.
8.2 You may enter for multiple DNA Wool Regions but you may only submit one (1) Entry each time.
8.3 Entries must be made and submitted using the Competition Entry Form and all Designs and other attachments should include your name, email address and best phone contact.
8.4 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms at its sole discretion.
8.5 You grant the Promoter and its affiliated companies a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, sub-licensable, royalty free license to use the intellectual property rights in your Entry (and any component of it) for the promotional and marketing purposes of the Competition and its associated marketing activities without notice and without any fee being paid, including (without limitation) to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, adapt, store, re-format and sub-licence the Entry.
8.6 You acknowledge the Promoter and its affiliated companies may exercise the global, non-exclusive right to communicate your Entry in whole or in part to the public on any media platform.
8.7 If for any reason the conduct or operation of the Competition is not capable of proceeding as planned, is interfered with, or disrupted in any way, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, modify or recommence the Competition.
8.8 The entrant whose Design is judged by the Promoter's panel of judges to be the best, most representative of the DNA Wool Region and creative will win the prize ("Prize Winner"). Chance plays no part in determining the Prize Winner.
8.9 Your Design may be edited or adapted at any time by the Promoter in order to:
a. meet the requirements of manufacturing;
b. ensure your Design meets any legal or classification requirements or to avoid any breach of law;
c. use your Design for promotional purposes;
8.10 All decisions made by the Promoter regarding the Competition are final and the Promoter will not enter into any correspondence with you.
8.11 The name of each Prize Winner and the city/town/suburb in which he/she lives will be announced and posted on the Promoter’s website www.woolnetwork.com.au. Please allow at least 28 days from the date of notification for the delivery of the prize.
8.12 Prizes of finished product cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. In the event that any of the prizes become unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a similar product to the same or greater value as the original prize, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation.
8.13 If any provision of these Terms is held to be illegal, invalid, void or otherwise unenforceable, it will be severed from the remaining provisions, which will continue in full force and effect.
8.14 The Competition is not open to any employee, officer, servant, agent, supplier or contractor of the Promoter, or their related bodies corporate or their agencies involved with the Competition
8.15 These Terms shall be governed by the laws of New South Wales, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
8.16 You warrant that:
a. all details provided with your entry are true and accurate;
b. you have all necessary rights and licences to grant the rights set out in these Terms and Conditions;
c. your Design is an original work and has not been previously communicated to the public;
d. and the exercise of the rights granted to the Promoter in these Terms and Conditions will not infringe the rights of any third parties, and you indemnify the Promoter against any loss or damage resulting from any breach of these warranties.
8.17 You acknowledge that the Promoter is under no obligation to exercise any of the rights granted to it by these Terms and Conditions and any communication of your Design to the public by the Promoter is at the complete discretion of the Promoter.
8.19 If there is any event that prevents or hinders the Promoter's conduct of the Competition or the Promoter's ability to deliver the prize/s to the prize winner/s of the Competition, the Promoter may, in its discretion, cancel the Competition and recommence it at another time under the same conditions or select another winner.
8.20 The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Competition, or for any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
8.21 To the full extent permitted by the law, the Promoter will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or consequential) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using any prize, including without limitation non-receipt of any prize or damage to any prize in transit and the Prize Winner's failure to comply with any third party the terms and conditions (if any).
