VSA ACADEMY TALENT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM
The South Australian Volleyball Academy (SAVA) conducts a Talent Identification Development Program (TID Program) 3 times a year. The TID Program is designed to identify exceptional young athletes from the SA community and fast track them into the VSA Academy Program
The TID Development Program can run from 4-5 weeks, providing a training opportunity, where fundamental volleyball skills will be enhanced and pre-movement / recovery exercises are taught. At the commencement of the TID Development Program athletes may be offered a placement within the VSA Academy.
WHAT IS THE VSA ACADEMY PROGRAM
The purpose of the VSA Academy is to provide young athletes an opportunity to develop into elite volleyball players. By being selected into the VSA Volleyball Academy (SAVA) Program you will be a part of an elite training program which has the goal to identify and develop athletes who are capable of being selected into:
SA State teams (Beach and Indoor volleyball), National Junior Program, Under 21 World Championships, National Beach Volleyball senior program
Every year the South Australian Volleyball Academy program selects 25 Female athletes & 25 Male athletes in their age group to train in this High-Performance Pathway. Athlete within the program train weekly and are provided with experienced coaches, fantastic facilities and resources provided by the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI), and Volleyball Australia's (VA) Centre of Excellence (CoE) based at SASI.
TALENT IDENTIFICATION DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (TID) REGISTRATION
In order participate of the TID Program you will need to fill in this registration form. Once you have press submit at the bottom of this form, your registration will be sent to the VSA Academy contact. A notification of your application will be sent to your nominated email.
Once registered a VSA Academy contact will send a reminder within a few weeks including more information around what to bring to the training sessions, a medical form to complete, and how to pay for the TID Program.
