This Notice of Intent (NOI) is mandatory for all UQ applicants under the NHMRC Investigator Grants scheme for funding in 2020 and will help ensure that the University’s developing field of applicants is closely aligned with the core requirements of the scheme, which will be fiercely competitive.
Consolidated listings of NOIs will be provided to respective Faculties, Institutes, Schools and Centres. The NOI will be used to invite applicants to forthcoming UQ Workshops on Impact Case Study writing, and for local peer review support. Workshops are anticipated to be held in late November and early December 2018.
Applicants under the Investigator Grants scheme should ensure they understand the eligibility requirements of the NHMRC’s new grants program, including the impact of lodging Investigator (single CI) and Ideas (multi-CI) Grant applications in the same year, and the knock-out provisions that apply in only one being funded. You can use the NHMRC’s new eligibility tool and very useful eligibility matrix for further guidance on limits with existing/proposed grants/applications.
NOIs are due to UQ R&IE no later than 14 November 2018.
