As an International Skating Union (ISU) member, ISA and SAISA must ensure its members follow ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules specifically Rule 450 Regulations for exhibitions to prevent any members being ineligible to compete at future events.
INDIVIDUAL PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR UNSANCTIONED EVENTS
Individual skaters or teams may be invited to, or wish to, take part in competitions, promotions, exhibitions, fundraisers, holiday or commercialice shows or other events involving skating disciplines.
All skaters who wish to perform in such unsanctioned events require permission to do so by submitting an individual permit application
Skaters must complete individual permit application forms for each separate event they wish to take part at. (parents or guardians may submit applications on behalf of minors) If skaters are doing multiple performances at the one event, details of exactly when the skater is performing must be provided.
PERMISSION FOR SYNCHRONIZED TEAMS TO PARTICIPATE IN UNSANCTIONED EVENTS
Synchronized team managers may submit an application on behalf of the team provided they also attach an excel spreadsheet containing accurate and uptodate details of all the team members who will be participating.
The responsibility falls upon the skater /team manager to lodge this form at least 30 days prior to the event
PUBLICITY
All publicity used at events must be uploaded, SAISA will review all publicity before granting an approval for the permit.
COMPETITIONS
For competition events, clubs must provide a volunteer list at least 14 days prior to the competition, this can be emailed to admin@saisa.org.au.
