AEMT Program Overview
We are excited that you have chosen to upgrade your professional level to Advanced EMT, and I look forward to helping you achieve this goal! Please read below about some of the most common topics new students ask about our AEMT Program. This program is designed around the National Registry standards for National Registry AEMT certification.
The hybrid AEMT Program consists of 3 parts, the online portion, the live in-person training, and clinical internship. Each student has up to 9 months to complete this program. While our programs are self-paced and allow for faster completion, there is a maximum amount of time allowed for each of our programs.
The online portion takes on average 5 months to complete and includes the online coursework, weekly chat-rooms, and online proctored final exam. A real instructor will be available to you via email and in the weekly chat rooms during this portion.
The live training portion consists of a three, 1-day AEMT Skills training/testing sessions with a live instructor, and a minimum of 168 hours of clinical rotations at PERCOMOnline affiliated hospitals and EMS providers. Our skill training sites are limited to Texas, and traveling to one of these sites will be required.
Clinical rotations for AEMT can be completed at sites across the US. To view an up-to-date map of our affiliated clinical rotation sites, please CLICK HERE. AEMT students can attend rotations and any site with a green or purple icon.
Once all the AEMT Program requirements have been successfully completed by the student, PERCOMOnline will issue an official AEMT Course Completion certificate and will formally notify National Registry that the student is qualified to take the certification exam(not included in tuition).
