Registrations & Permits

All food vehicles must be registered with their home local government under the provisions of the Food Act 2008 and their construction and maintenance must be in accordance with the Australia New Zealand Food Safety Standards.

Food vendors will be invited by City of Canning staff members and required to provide your food vehicle registration and insurance paperwork before they will be permitted to attend a City of Canning event.

The City will only select vendors that use compostable or biodegradable products. Please NO plastic straws, cutlery or packaging. Please detail what products you currently use for food service.*
The City use Go2Cup at ALL Major City Events. So, if you have been approached by the Major City Events Team to attend and event - Go2Cup will contact you to provide repacement serveware (reusable plates, bowls cups and cutlery etc). This service is FREE to you and the City will cover the costs. Please indicate whether you are able to comply with this arrangement and will work with Go2Cup when contacted to supply your requirements. Go2Cup usually start approaching vendors up to 2 weeks prior to the event. Serveware will be ready for you when you attend the event*
