What is QEPR?
QELA has produced and published the Queensland Environmental Practice Reporter (QEPR) for 20 years.
The publication contains case reviews of recent decisions from Courts and Tribunals prepared by QELA and our QEPR editing partner, as well as article contributions from professionals within the planning and environmental law sector, and allied professions.
QEPR is published quarterly: April, June, September, and December.
QEPR is distributed to the QELA membership and uploaded to the member resources section of the QELA website. Copies of past editions are held with various government and university libraries.
To view past copies, QELA members click here. Non members may access a complimentary edition here.
The Queensland Environmental Law Association (QELA) is a multi-disciplinary member organisation, providing education on environment and planning law, and the natural and built environments. Our membership is diverse and includes lawyers, barristers, town planners, environmental scientists and consultants, engineers, property valuers, local and state government officers, and academics.

Criteria for Contributions
QELA is seeking articles and research papers that would be of interest to QELA members and further the knowledge base of environmental and planning law in Queensland.
QEPR is an ideal platform for presenting new research and topics not suited for a seminar.
Please note, case reviews within QEPR are completed by an endorsed representative of QELA and thus we are not seeking contributions of specific case reviews.
Articles / papers must be:
in final, publishable state;
appropriately referenced using either footnotes or reference list;
in Word format, A4 size, Arial font, body text in 11pt, 2.5cm margins for all sides; and
10 or less pages, including references.
If you have any questions about the QEPR or QELA more generally, please contact the QELA office on firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 07 3832 4865.
