Hi there Skyla users!
There is a new update available for your VB1/VB1+ biochemistry analyser (AS48/CS29). This release has been flagged as 'mandatory' by the manufacturer, and includes significant improvents from the current software. The release notes are available at the bottom of this page for your perusal.
Vepa recommends that all analysers are kept updated to ensure the best quality of results generated.
In order to update your Skyla, you first need to determine which version is appropriate for your specific analyser. To do this, you can check your current version by heading to Settings->Version from the Skyla home screen. The third line of this screen will display your current software version, and will start with either AS (VB1) or CS (VB1+).
Once you've confirmed your version, simply:
1) Download the appropriate file from the links at the bottom of this page;
2) Transfer the .bin file onto a USB stick, ensuring there are no older update files on the stick;
3) Remove the stick from the computer and plug it into the back of your Skyla;
4) Go to Settings->Administrator Settings->System Upgrade (then yes to confirm) to start the update process.

This process will take about 5 minutes, after which you can verify by going back to Settings->Version.
More detailed instructions are available in a PDF below. If you have any difficulties, please get in contact with us on 1300VEPALAB, or type your clinic name in the box below and NO if you need some help (we'll call you) then click "Submit".
Many thanks
