About the scholarship:
The D.C. Cruickshank Family Award was established primarily to enable an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander female who successfully completes her studies at Presbyterian Ladies College to pursue full time studies in an approved course at The University of Western Australia.
If there is no suitable candidate from Presbyterian Ladies College, the School of Indigenous Studies will select a candidate. Scholarship selection is based on financial need, academic merit and other related factors.
The scholarships are open to female Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students who are enrolled as full time students in their first undergraduate degree or the Aboriginal Orientation Course at The University of Western Australia. This scholarship is open only to female students enrolled full time at UWA and under the age of 19 years on March 1 of the current year.
Each scholarship will be offered for one year.
The value of the scholarships varies from year to year according to the interest earned after capitalisation according to Senate Policy.
