Workshop location: Brunswick – the address will be provided to you by the artist in the lead up to the workshop.
About the work: Jason Maling and Song-Ming Ang invite you to help them create A Song to Change the World. Working across 5 days from 19th – 23rd March the artists will be running an open workshop in a studio in Brunswick. Each day from 10am – 4pm Jason and Song-Ming will be making badges, stealing ideas and generally arguing over haircuts, history and politics. Come for an hour, a day or the whole week– who knows what might happen.
Essential Talents: Absolutely no musical skill, knowledge or experience is required, and everyone is welcome no matter your tastes in music or political beliefs. And no, you'll not be expected to perform, but there will be some kind of closing performance at Arts House Melbourne on Sunday 25th March at 4.30pm if you feel so inclined.
Availability: You’re welcome to join anytime between 10am-4pm from 19-23 March 2018 and stay for as long or short as you like.
Bring: any instruments, texts, inspirational cassettes and YouTube links you think may help.
What do you get? That warm fuzzy feeling that you get from contributing to change (whatever that means). And the opportunity to perform if you want.
