Dangers and Pitfalls Rehoming Your Dog Without Help

• Scammers are smooth, persuasive and well rehearsed. Risks include:
  - dog fighting rings,
  - on-selling,
  - separating bonded pairs,
  - inside dogs banished to sleeping outside etc.
• Objectivity is compromised with emotions or time pressures.
• Time consuming and daunting sifting through potential adoptees for popular dogs.
• Few quality applicants for older, less poplar dogs leading you to compromise.
