The Besst Family Scholarship was established by Kara Besst, chief executive officer at Gritman Medical Center, and her husband, Tim, in appreciation of the Junior Volunteer Program. Each year a graduating senior, in the Junior Volunteer Program, who shows outstanding academic achievements, participates in extracurricular activities, and has leadership skills as a Junior Volunteer is awarded a $500 scholarship.
Use of Scholarship: Scholarship(s) may be used to help pay for expenses (tuition, fees, room, board, books) at any accredited institution for higher learning.
Eligibility to Apply: Applicants are graduating seniors and have participated in the Junior Volunteer Program at Gritman Medical Center. Applicants requirements include a contribution of a minimum of 40 documented hours to the Junior Volunteer Program. Applicants do not need to pursue a medical career to apply for this scholarship.
Application deadline is 5:00pm, Thursday, March 15, 2018.
