Outside – The Community Events Partnership Package
What is Outside?
Outside is an opportunity for Community Events organisers to partner with us to achieve mutual benefit.
We can provide any or all of the following;
- Increased publicity prior to the event
- Events planning advice
- A P.A. system
- A Sound Engineer
- A Stage Manager
- An M.C.
- Recording, Broadcast & Podcast of your event
Why does MPR do this?
We recognise we have skills and equipment at our disposal to assist groups who might otherwise not be able to afford or justify such services.
We also like to “take the station” out into the community to raise awareness of our programmes.
We can add the broadcast of recorded or live event footage to our schedule.
Things to note:
Outside is provided free of charge, but there is an optional recommended koha that covers the basic costs of our involvement.
If you are successful with your application, MPR will expect the following in order for us to provide the services:
- The events written agreement to partner in the form of an MOU.
- Input into the planning and implementation of the event.
- Station acknowledgement on all promotional material.
- The permission to promote the stations partnership in your event (prior to – and during the event, including banners, leaflets and MC acknowledgement).
- Permission to use audio and visual material of the event for the purposes of event and station promotion and creation of broadcast content.
- Your contribution to the creation of broadcast content.
- Your active involvement in a de-brief / feedback process at the conclusion of the partnership.
Criteria:
All Outside applications are judged on a case by case basis, and are subject to station availability as well as the following criteria:
- That the event can demonstrate a provision for the interests of Youth, Minorities in our Community, or special interests.
- That the event demonstrates a celebration of people, community, and connectedness.
- That the event promotes positive, inclusive messages.
- That the event schedule and activities take into account the subsequent broadcast of footage, and that consideration is made for engaging content to a listener.
