Working Expectations
Minimum Staff
QUT Guild expects no less than 4 staff will be on-site for the entire duration of the event and will be delegated roles such as cooking, preparing, sales and tidy. This expectation provides the event organisers an opportunity to safely operate without haste. These individuals must be over the age of 18, not-intoxicated and either a staff or student of QUT.
In the instance that the event organisers cannot provide minimum 4 staff to assist in running the event, QUT Guild reserves the right to cancel the use of the BBQ.
Event Bump-In/Out
For a successful event, it is imperative that adequate time is provided to bump-in/out of the space, and also have time to delegate tasks and set expectations. QUT Guild expects that the BBQ staff will be available 60-30minutes prior/post the selling period of the event to assist in a thorough cleaning of the space.
In the instance that the event organisers arrive less than 30-minutes prior to the event launch, QUT Guild reserves the right to delay the launch of the event to ensure a full handover is provided to event organisers.
QUT Guild Staff On-Site
QUT Guild will provide support in the lead-up to the event and on-the-day bump-in. However, QUT Guild staff are not expected to stay on-site during the events duration. They will be contactable by phone (provided on-the-day) if any questions arise.
Behaviour and Conduct
It is expected that the BBQ staff understand that thier actions are a direct reflection on QUT Guild. Through using QUT Guild equipment and resources, it is expected that the BBQ event team will maintain a high-level of respect, safety and courtesy to customers and the general QUT community while hosting the event. Additionally, respect should also be granted to other QUT Retailers on campus.
In the instance that behaviour is not reflecting postively on QUT Guild, QUT Guild reserves the right to cancel the use of the BBQ.
