Applicants accepted into the Judge Accreditation Training Programme will receive instruction and advice in what used to be called the Open category, but will now incorporate a broader range of experience.

Once formally accredited you will have the statue of Accredited. As you continue to gain experience and expertise in judging across other specialist genres (Nature, for instance), you can choose to request to have additional Judging Specialities added to your profile in the register of Accredited Judges.

The following information is requested to assist the Assessment Panel build a profile of the applicant and their level of experience in photography. There are no requirements or prerequisite for accreditation that are associate with this information.

1. You must have attended one of the PSNZ Judge Training weekends. Please list any that you have attended in the last two years.

2. Please outline your judging experience at Club, Regional and/or National levels.

3. Please give a brief summary of successes in the National Exhibition and other significant National or International photographic salons or competitions over the past three years.

4. Please tell us why you are interested in becoming an Accredited Judge.

4. Please name a member of PSNZ who you think would be a suitable mentor for your role as a t5ainee judge. This person should be an experienced PSNZ accredited judge. Please ask if they are happy to mentor you. Mentor guidelines are available. The Judge Accreditation Panel will help arrange a mentor should you not be able to nominate one yourself.

Accreditation has two phases, an initial assessment and a final assessment. This application form is for initial assessment only. The process for accreditation is outlined in a companion document, which obtained from the Secretary of the Judge Accreditation Panel.
