Eligibility:
Many basketballers have varying levels of hearing losses and the International Sports Committee for the Deaf (ISCD) has established qualifying criteria for these deaf and hearing impaired basketballers aspiring to compete at sanctioned international deaf basketball tournaments.
As a result of the ISCD eligibility criteria, Deaf Sports Australia (DSA) have developed the Athlete Eligibility Policy to provide and ensure fair participation for all deaf and hard of hearing basketballers in ISCD, DIBF, DSA and DBA sanctioned events. In order to be eligible for International Competition with DBA, you need to meet the requirements:

Eligible to compete in DSA sanctioned events (ADG) and ISCD sanctioned events (Deaflympics, Asia/Pacific Regional Championships), DIBF World Championships and DBA sanctioned events (NDBCC)
In order to be eligible to participate at national and international deaf basketball tournaments, deaf and hard of hearing basketballers are required to submit a copy of a current audiogram (tested within the previous six months) which has been fully completed by their audiologist, and forwarded to Deaf Basketball Australia (DBA) for on forwarding to ISCD via DSA. A decision on the basketballer’s eligibility will be determined.
Please upload your most recent Audiogram. if you do not upload an Audiogram and are succesful in making the team, you will need to provide one to Deaf Basketball Australia Prior to successful placement.
