Set Up Time
The Community House will be open from 11.30am on Sunday. Tables will be set up in the hall and foyer and have been allocated based on the order people booked. You are welcome to come in and set up anytime from 11.30am but the market has been advertised to start from 1pm.
The Cost of the Stall is $5 this is to be paid before the day of the fair.
You are going to need to bring a “float” which is a small amount of coins in a container that you can use to give people change when they buy something from your stall. Lots of $1 and $2 coins will be helpful. Some of you may need to borrow this change off mum and dad and you subtract the amount of your float at the end of the market to work out how much profit you have made.
We are going to have more than 30 stalls on Market Day and lots of children and teens selling all sorts of things. You will find it easier to sell if you have put prices on most of your toys and other goodies before the market starts. Talk to mum or dad about what you think might be a fair price for the items you are selling. Think about what you might be prepared to pay.
When you are in business you need to advertise what you are selling. You might like to make some signs or banners for your table. We have also included a poster in the email you can forward to family and friends. Make sure to tell your friends at school too. Remember the more people that come to the market, the more you will sell.
