The current NZTA TTM warrant system is changing to better reflect new competencies and ways of working under a risk-based approached.

For now its still important to keep your current qualifications up to date. Please note that the new creditials are still a work in progress and will take 1-2 years to come into effect. As we know more, we will keep you updated.
Note that there will be a practical component at every level. The practical assessments are not included in the TMO or STMS NP courses.
For those new to the industry, the TTM Worker course is now a prerequisite for the TMO (previously TC) course.
Categories explained
Category A - Low speed (under 65kms)
Category B - High speed (over 65kms) two-way, two lane roads
Category C - High speed (over 65kms) multi-lane roads
