  • EA NCAS Coaching Content Review

    Working Party Application Form
  • Equestrian Australia (EA) is in the process of reviewing and reformatting the NCAS Coaching Pathway.  As a result we are asking for applications from equestrian community members to form discipline specific working parties to be involved in the content review.  EA is looking to attract not just current coaches but riders of all abilities and other equestrian specialists who are interested in implementing change into the existing coaching process.

    As a member of the coaching content review working party you will report directly to the Pathways Manager – Coaches and will be responsible for:

    • Reviewing and updating existing content within your chosen discipline of the coaches courses
    • Researching new coaching techniques and technical concepts from around the world
    • Consulting with a variety of community members to ensure suitability for the wider equestrian community
    • Preparing project documentation using templates provided
    • Formatting theoretical content to suit a Learning Management System and appeal to adult learning styles
    • Ensuring adequate theoretical information with practical application throughout each course
    • Presenting information in various ways such as quizzes, videos, research articles and assessment tasks
    • Being accountable for the initiatives and outcomes of the project within tight time frames with minimal resourcing
    • Monitoring and reporting on project progress to ensure the achievement of milestones and objectives
    • Working productively, with minimal supervision, as part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • EA and its affiliated organisations are conducting a review on the current NCAS pathway.  As a result we require volunteers to form a working party to assist in this review and develop updated content for the EA multidiscipline coaching pathway

     By submitting an application you agree that:

    • This position is for the sole purpose of reviewing and redeveloping the existing coaching content;
    • There is a commitment in time and contribution required of this position;
    • I meet all the requirements to fulfil this position, especially in terms of skills and knowledge;
    • The need to work for the good of EA and the whole of the sport;
    • To treat the information as sensitive and only disclose information as part of the consultation process;
    • To not use, or copy the coaching information, or permit it to be used, disclosed or copied, other than for the proper discharge of my duties as a member of the working party or as required by law;
    • Upon ceasing to be a member of the working party, to return all documents and other materials that I may have in my possession or control which contain or refer to any coaching information; and
    • I acknowledge that I have read and agree to abide by the EA Codes of Conduct for Members and Coaches. I acknowledge I may be subject to disciplinary action if I breach the code. (Code of Conduct is available to view via www.equestrian.org.au)
