  • What is a PRN number? 

    A PRN number is a Patient Record Number that is assigned to you by Mater Health. Your PRN is unique to you and is used to help correctly identify you each time you have any interaction with Mater Health.  Your PRN cannot be re-used by any other person.

  • How do I know what my PRN number is?

    Your PRN should be included in the text message you received from Mater Mothers informing you of this online Antenatal History.  Your PRN will also be included at the top of any letters that you may receive from Mater Mothers.

     If you have not received your PRN please contact the Antenatal Clinic as soon as possible on 3163 8330 between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

  • Can I share my online Antenatal History link with my friend/family member who is also pregnant?

    No, your online Antenatal History link is exclusive to you.  If your friend/family member is accepted for maternity care at Mater Mothers public hospital, your friend/family member will receive their own unique link.

  • What happens if I don’t accept and agree to the Information disclaimer and consent?

    You will not be able to continue completing the online Antenatal History.  Please contact the Antenatal Clinic as soon as possible on 3163 8330 between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday to discuss your options.

  • Why do I have to fill out this online antenatal history?

    The online Antenatal History allows you the opportunity to begin sharing your pregnancy, medical and health history with your hospital midwife and doctor at a time more convenient to you. Completing your history online enables your hospital midwife and doctor to be better prepared for your booking visit. It also helps to focus your appointment on health topics that are important to you.  Completing your online history will reduce the time needed to complete your booking appointment.

  • What happens if I don’t complete and submit my online antenatal history?

    Your maternity booking at Mater Mothers Hospital may be cancelled and you will be required to go and see your GP for a new referral. If there are technical reasons you are unable to complete your online Antenatal History, please contact the Antenatal Clinic as soon as possible on 3163 8330 between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

  • Do I have to answer all the questions?

    Yes, it is important to answer all the questions in the online Antenatal History.  In order to help you plan your maternity care, your midwife and doctor require an accurate and complete pregnancy and medical history. 

  • What if I don’t know the answer to a question?

    If you are unsure of the answer to a question it may help to ask a member of your family.  If you do not understand a question, just click ‘Yes’ or make a note in the ‘Comments’ section and your midwife and doctor will be able to discuss the question with you during your appointment.

  • Who will see the information that I enter? 

    The information you enter will be reviewed by your hospital midwife in the morning on the day of your appointment. Any details you provide about your pregnancy and health history will be treated as confidential by the hospital team caring for you throughout your pregnancy.

  • If I enter my pregnancy and medical history do I still have to have a booking appointment?

    Yes, to complete your maternity booking you will still be required to meet with your hospital midwife and doctor. We will meet with you to help you plan your maternity care with the information you provided about your pregnancy, medical and health history. We may ask you more detailed questions about specific health issues you recorded in your online history. We may also weigh you, check your blood pressure and urine and depending on how many weeks pregnant you are, check your abdomen and listen to your baby’s heartbeat.

  • What happens if I have had more than the three previous pregnancies?

    You can only enter three previous pregnancies in the online Antenatal History.  If you have had more than three previous pregnancies, you can discuss your other pregnancies with your midwife at your booking appointment.

  • Can I still complete the online Antenatal history if I haven’t had any pregnancy blood tests or ultrasound scans yet?

    Yes you can complete your online Antenatal History. It is advisable to discuss any recommended blood tests and ultrasound scans with your GP (General Practitioner/local doctor).  It is important that you bring copies of your pregnancy blood tests and ultrasound scans to your booking appointment. 

    If you have not yet submitted your online history, you can return to add more information by clicking the link in the email you received.

  • What happens if I am unable to complete my online Antenatal History?

    If you experience technical difficulties or are unable to complete your online Antenatal History, please contact the Antenatal Clinic as soon as possible on 3163 8330 between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

  • What happens if I accidently delete or lose my link?

    Online Antenatal History links are sent to you via text message and letter. If you have completed the first registration page of the online Antenatal History you will also have a link sent to you via email. If you are still unable to locate your link, please contact the Antenatal Clinic as soon as possible on 3163 8330 between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday to resend your link.

  • Can I go back and change my answers to the questions?

    Whilst entering your history you can go backwards and forwards using the ‘Back’ and ‘Next’ buttons.  Your answers will be saved for each page when you press ‘Back’ or Next’. Once you click ‘Submit’ at the end you will no longer be able to go back and change your answers.  If you have already submitted your history, please take a note of the question to discuss with your midwife and doctor at the booking appointment.

  • I didn’t receive an email after I submitted my history?

    If you are sure you submitted the correct email address, please contact the Antenatal Clinic as soon as possible on 3163 8330 between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

  • Suggested changes will be reviewed periodically and additions made to the FAQ page.  Thank you for helping us to improve the online booking system.

  • Should be Empty:
