TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ENROLMENT & FEES
Invoices can be paid via direct debit, cash or PayPal / Credit Card (fees apply). A payment plan can be arranged in circumstances and needs to be requested in writing one week prior to the invoice due date and authorised by Meraki Circus Director, Rachel Butler. All payment plans will incur a weekly admin-processing fee.
We require all students to be enrolled before they can attend a class. If you / your child does not want to continue following their first class, they can unenrol and you will only be liable to pay for the first lessons in which they were enrolled.
By signing this document, I understand that my invoice will be emailed to me and term fees are to be paid in full by the due date and failure to do so will incur a late fee of $25. If the payment is not made within 7 days the invoice will continue to increase further by $5 every week until the invoice is paid.
I understand that if my account is not paid in full within 14 days of the due date, I/my child will not be allowed to participate in class until further arrangements have been made.
CANCELATIONS / MISSED CLASSES
The trainer to student ratio in our classes are strictly limited to ensure that you receive the best possible training and there is often a waiting list for these classes. Therefore fees are charged by the term, no matter how many classes students attend as this holds the spot in class. Refunds / credits are only available to major injuries or illnesses preventing the student from completing the class or a tragedy in the family. We do not have capacity to cater for make up classes for missed lessons.
If a class is cancelled by Meraki Circus, you will be offered a make up lesson. In the circumstance that a make up lesson can not occur you will have the option to get a refund or credit for that class.
Private lessons and group bookings can only be postponed once over a term and require a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to the lesson or the lesson will be cancelled and payment forfeited.
Class bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. Non-transferable means they cannot be exchanged for other Meraki Circus products or services; and cannot be transferred to another person.
CODE OF CONDUCT
For Participants, Parents/Guardians and Visitors at Meraki Circus, please note the following for respect, safety of students.
Meraki Circus respects the rights, dignity and worth of others regardless of gender and sexuality, physical or mental ability, cultural background or religion, and expects that participants and those observing classes follow this code of conduct. Disruptive, rude and inappropriate behaviour is not conducive to a positive learning environment and will not be tolerated; offending students will be asked to take time out from class.
We want our students to gain the most out of class, therefore a focused class setting is essential. You can help by adhering to the additional rules below:
- All parents and students are to wait outside if it is not your class, and students are expected to be warming up quietly. Students are only liable in our care during class time only so please make sure drop off and pick up is prompt. Please do not disturb the class by talking or entering the class space. This applies to students, parents and children not participating in the class. You may only enter the class space if invited. We make exceptions for the first class for younger children who are feeling they need extra support.
- Parents and guardians to follow a 'drop and go' policy once the class has commenced.
- No food, chewing gum or coloured drinks allowed in the teaching space or during class time.
- Please ensure you/your child brings a water bottle to every class and other personal items such as towels.
- Do not attend/bring your child/ren to class if they have any symptoms of COVID, signs of infectious disease, or any injury or medical condition that might put them or others at risk of illness or injury. *PLEASE NOTE: Unlike schools, Meraki Circus cannot accept children in class with head lice and other contagious infections such as ringworm and school sores, as lice can infest mats, equipment and flooring and infections spread rapidly as children are working closely together physically. If you child has the above or similar, please notify a Meraki team member prior to class and keep your child home from class until they are clear of symptoms.
ATTIRE
Having the correct attire for class is essential for the protection of our studio equipment and ensuring the safety of our students.
I acknowledge not wearing correct attire means I/my child might not be permitted to participate in certain activities due to risk of injury or equipment damage. I understand the following attire applies.
- Stretchy comfortable clothes (leggings, track pants, shorts, leotard, t-shirt etc..)
- No belts, buckles or zips on clothing for aerial classes.
- Leggings / long pants past the knee and upper body coverage are essential for our aerial classes to protect the skin. Baggy clothing is discouraged as it is a risk to the student getting clothing caught in the aerial equipment.
- No shoes allowed on the mats but bring foot coverage to go to bathroom.
- Hair tied up and jewellery / watches removed. We recommend leaving them at home.
- No lotions, sunscreens or fragrances as it can be slippery for students and damage the aerial equipment.
