  • Format: 0000 000 000.
  • Have you written on your birth plan that you are taking your placenta and discussed this with your midwife/doula/doctor?In the event the placenta is not released by the attending doctor/hospital you will receive a full refund less the deposit and any applicable travel fee. It is important to mention your wishes to your midwife/doula/doctor and note clearly on your birth plan.*
  • For your own protection, we MUST have honest answers to the following questions. It is a requirement to produce your hospital antenatal card displaying this information.

  • In the last 6 months have you been tested for:Please select all that apply*
  • Were all tests negative?*
  • Do you understand the possible risk of consuming your placenta after having smoked during your pregnancy?Research is being done on the effects of smoking during pregnancy on the placenta. Until this is completed, we recommend avoiding the consumption of placenta as heavy metal toxins found in cigarette smoke have been found to remain trapped in placental tissue. The overall buildup of these heavy metals may increase to the point that would make it unsafe to consume by the time the baby is born.*
  • Have you ever suffered from anxiety, depression, excessive 'baby blues' or postnatal depression? The ‘baby blues’ are a known symptom of birth and mothers are told to expect to feel sad, anxious and very emotional around the third day after the birth, usually when the milk engorges the breasts. These symptoms can sometimes develop into postnatal depression and mothers with a history of anxiety and depression are considered higher risk of developing PND. Studies have proven that the symptoms of postnatal depression are linked with the severe lack of essential nutrients such as vitamin B6 and hormone CRH (our stress reducer hormone), both which are of high supply in the placenta. Consuming the placenta in raw smoothies or in capsules is believed to replace lost essential nutrients and hormones and may contribute towards prevention of the ‘baby blues’ and postnatal depression.*Medications - When prescribed for a pregnant mum, the medication is usually considered safe and usually regular medication is not retained by the placenta in significant enough quantities to be a problem when ingested. However we do advise you to seek the advice of your doctor.*
  • CHOOSE YOUR PLACENTA REMEDIES

There are many ways to utilise the placenta, all beneficial to the new mother and her family in different and complementary ways. You can have all of the below remedies with your one placenta. Remedies such as the tincture, balms and creams are made using only a small piece of placenta and each placenta remedy has it’s own benefit for you and your baby so its a good idea to read through all the options to ensure you make the most out of your placenta.

The most modern Western way to consume the placenta is by capsule, known as placenta encapsulation. Preparing your placenta into easy-to-take placenta pills is a simple way to support postnatal health and vitality after you have your baby. Your placenta is unique to you and it is possible that the stem cells and growth factor are the perfect tailor-made nourishment for your healing and rejuvenation. Your placenta contains one of the highest concentrations of essential hormones, iron, B vitamins and micro-nutrients found in any plant or animal species. Placenta is even said to be great support during PMS and menopause; if that is interesting to you ensure you order the tincture.

    ENCAPSULATION

The placenta contains essential fats, proteins, vast amounts of iron and essential hormones and is said to heal wounds and aid the body in self recovery after birth. The placenta is considered a powerful and sacred medicine, a ‘full of life force’ organ in China and has been documented as a healing medicine since 1578.

    Possible benefits:

    • Supply of essential vitamins and nutrients incl. high levels of iron
    • Immediate boost of hormones to begin healing the body after birth
    • Eases the hormonal transition
    • Increased energy
    • Quicker for milk to come in and increased supply

    SMOOTHIE

Consuming the placenta raw is the only way to access the full complement of nutrients and hormones as they are significantly reduced when processed. It is also the only way to benefit from the high contents of stem cells and growth factors, which may heal damaged tissue and organs at a rapid rate.

Consuming a small piece shortly after birth has been shown to reduce uterine bleeding and replenish your body with essential hormones and nutrients. Mothers report greatly increased energy and often notice their milk ‘comes in’ within hours.

To be consumed as soon as possible after the birth, and is great to give you immediate support whilst you wait for your capsules to be prepared and delivered. Your choice of ingredients will be used. I recommend strawberries and banana as a base with your choice of extras such as honey, cinnamon & coconut water. It tastes great, with no hint of placenta at all!

When I collect the placenta, I will immediately prepare the smoothie for you to enjoy at your bedside shortly after the birth. (If this is not suitable, I can take the placenta and return with the smoothie for a travel fee.)

    * DIY - If you are happy to prepare the smoothie yourself I can provide guidance, instructions and a recipe. This service also includes access to full phone support if you need it whilst preparing your smoothie (Facetime/Skype/iMessage/sms/phone).

    Possible benefits:

    • Significantly reduce postpartum bleeding
    • Assist the body to heal
    • Supply of essential vitamins and nutrients incl. high levels of iron
    • Immediate boost of hormones to begin healing the body after birth
    • Immediate feeling of strength and balance
    • Increased energy
    • Quicker for milk to come in & increased supply
    • Eases the hormonal transition

    TINCTURE

Placenta tincture is a very potent remedy and a favourite with clients due to it healing properties, versatility and ease of use. Keeping a tincture is a way to stretch out the placenta longevity and works very well in combination with all other remedies; capsules have different healing properties and the tincture is the base for your creams and balms. Your tincture will last indefinitely kept in a cool dark place, and is perfect for when you have finished all of your placenta capsules. Some women report incredible results treating PMS and menopause in themselves and their mothers, and teething, illness and general aches and pains in baby and siblings.

The final product is ready within 8-10 weeks and in this time is tended daily by me. The resulting remedy is strong and can be used to tend emotional, and physical instability in the mother, baby and siblings.

    Possible benefits:

    • Help in times of imbalance, pain, agitation or distress for mother, baby and family members
    • Energy, strength & stamina
    • Regulate menstrual cycles
    • Help naturally replace hormones during menopause
    • Balance your hormones during monthly PMS
    • Help prevent postnatal depression
    • Ease anxiety and emotional distress
    • Used to make healing creams and balms

NATURAL SKIN CARE CREAMS & BALMS

Work with me to develop the right product for your needs. Use on caesarean scars, as a nappy balm, healing cracked nipples, improving skin tone, diaper rash, eczema, dry skin, and even bruises.

Creams and balms are particularly effective on skin due to the rich hormonal content; DHEA, a natural steroid pro-hormone, cortisols can help to heal infected skin, estrogen builds collagen in the skin and progesterone inhibits the breakdown of collagen, normally leading to wrinkles as we age.

Placenta creams have been used by the rich and famous for many years to combat signs of aging. Did you know that placentas are frequently used in expensive commercially available anti-aging creams?

Kept refrigerated, placenta balm will retain its healing properties for up to 12 months. Your specialist can blend future creams from your mother tincture so you can reorder as necessary.

    Possible benefits:

    • Reduce the appearance of stretch marks and caesarean scars
    • Heal sore or cracked nipples
    • Reduce skin inflammation for babies eg. nappy rash or eczema
    • Reduce skin inflammation from eczema, psiorisis and dermatitis
    • Reduce the appearance of aging skin eg. lines, veins, sun-spots, wrinkles
