Our horses and staff welcome you to Galveston Island Horse and Pony Rides.

We are thrilled to have you ride with us. Get ready for a memorable time and a great experience.

We are one of only three horse trail riding businesses along the Texas Coast.

All reservations require a 50% deposit to secure the reservation.

Deposit is due upon receipt of the Reservation Confirmation Email/Text.

Ride Times:

The first ride of the day starts at 11:00 AM and the last ride of the day depends on the Day Light Saving Time period. Sunset times are reserved for the Private Sunset Ride and Photo Shoots.

Your reservation will be scheduled as close as possible to the preferred time provided. Entering a time preferred does not guarantee a specific ride time. If a time preferred is not provided, you will be scheduled in the first available time slot. The confirmation email will provide the Arrival and Start times for your reservation.
A two-horse minimum is required to reserve a Private Sunset Ride or Photo Shoot.

Private Sunset rides and Photo Shoot begin approximately one hour before the official sunset time. You will receive an email with your specific arrival and starting time depending on the sunset time for that day.

Private sunset ride and Photo Shoots reservations are made and guaranteed by credit card only. You are required to pay a 50% deposit of the total upon receipt of the Confirmation Email/Text, and the remaining balance after your ride.

If the preferred date is not available and an alternate date is not possible, you will not be charged.

If your ride is cancelled due to an unforeseen event (e,g, bad weather, mechanical failure, a full refund will be issued)

Private sunset ride/Photo Shoot cancellation Policy:
- You may cancel/reschedule your reservation by phone ONLY. (409) 256-0663
- For a full refund, you must cancel/reschedule your reservation by 12:00 PM the day before your scheduled ride.
- If you DO NOT cancel/reschedule your reservation by 12:00 PM the day before your scheduled ride or fail to arrive before your scheduled time (Arrival Time), you will not be eligible for a refund.
- Refunds are credited to the card used for the reservation.

It is standard protocol for all participants to be weighed before the ride. Though 220 lb is our max weight, some of our horses have a lower max.
After submitting this request, you should immediately receive an automated email letting you know we have received your form. This is NOT confirmation of your reservation.

Within 24 hours of submitting your request, you will receive an email titled "GIHPR reservation" confirming your reservation. No reservation is finalized without the required 50% deposit.
