Author Agreement

Instructions: Read and accept the following terms regarding your submission. Alternatively, you can download, print and sign a copy of the Author Agreement form then scan and submit via the Author Agreement upload page.

This agreement takes effect upon acceptance of the "Manuscript" for publication entitled:

SECTION I - Rights of the Author

The Author has the following nonexclusive rights:

1. To use the manuscript in the Author’s teaching activities;
2. To publish the manuscript, or permit its publication, as part of any book the Author may write;
3. To include the manuscript in the Author’s own personal or departmental (but not institutional) database or on-line site; and
4. To license reprints of the manuscript to third persons for educational photocopying.

SECTION II - Author responsibilities and warranties:

By signing below, the undersigned author warrants and agrees to each of the following:  that –

1. The undersigned is the sole author and/or on behalf of co-authors, have the authority to grant the rights to the MUJOE contained in this agreement;
2. All authors have seen and approved the manuscript as submitted and that the corresponding author will supply all coauthors with a copy (electronic or print) of the final, revised manuscript if accepted;
3. Each author participated sufficiently in the study conception or design, data analysis or interpretation, and drafting or revision of the manuscript, so that each author takes responsibility for the validity, integrity, and objectivity of the entire study. Non-author contributors and their roles (statisticians, translators, and author’s editors) have been listed in the acknowledgment section of the manuscript;
4. All authors with any conflict of interest in the research (including financial interest) or any relationship to a funding source (employment, ownership, consulting agreement, research grant, travel support, consultation fees, honoraria, equipment donation, company stock, advisory board member) have disclosed the conflict of interest and/or relationships in the acknowledgments section of the manuscript;
5. This manuscript is an original work and that neither this manuscript nor a manuscript with similar content has been published or is being considered for publication in any language, except as an abstract or thesis. If this manuscript includes a new analysis of the author(s)’ previously published data and/or article, then that primary publication(s) has been identified as such and included in the Literature cited;
6. The manuscript contains no libelous or unlawful statements and does not infringe upon or violate the copyright or any other personal or proprietary rights of any person, entity, or institution and that all necessary copyright clearances have been approved and signed documentation obtained from the copyright holder(s).
7. The Mico University College Journal of Education will be properly credited as the original place of publication in any use of the manuscript by the author as in item 1.
8. The Mico University College Journal of Education will be granted full and exclusive rights to the manuscript, all revisions, and will have full copyright.

SECTION III - Rights of The Mico University College’ Journal of Education

The rights of The Mico University College’s Journal of Education include but are not limited to:

1. to reproduce, publish, sell, and distribute copies of the manuscript, selections of the manuscript, and translations and other derivative works based upon the manuscript, in print, audio-visual, electronic, or by any and all media now or hereafter known or devised;
2. to license reprints of the manuscript to third persons for educational photocopying;
3. to license others to create abstracts of the manuscript and to index the manuscript;
4. to license secondary publishers to reproduce the manuscript in print, microform, or any computer-readable form, including electronic on-line databases; and
5. to license the manuscript for document delivery. These exclusive rights run the full term of the copyright, and all renewals and extensions thereof.

By signing and submitting this agreement, the undersigned author herby assigns The Mico University College the right to publish, and/or distribute the “Manuscript” (including the abstract) in part or in its entirety, as part of The Mico University College Journal of Education (MUJOE), in accordance with the above conditions.
