Agua Para el Pueblo (APP) is the leading Honduran NGO in the design and construction of water and sanitation systems with over thirty years of experience. APP has been the primary implementation partner of the AguaClara program since its founding in 2005. Together we have realized the design and construction of eleven water treatment plants in Honduras. A critical component of this partnership is continuous communication between researchers at Cornell University and staff at Agua Para el Pueblo. This communication is maintained largely through the presence of AguaClara Engineers - Cornell engineering graduates that are experts in the AguaClara technology - at the APP office in Honduras. AguaClara engineers use technical engineering skills to improve the design and construction process of drinking water treatment plants while working closely with community members to improve the implementation and followup process for AguaClara plants. Agua Para el Pueblo is looking for Cornell engineers, both current and alumni, to continue and strengthen this ongoing collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S., M.S., or M.Eng. in Environmental Eng., Civil Eng., or a related field
- Spanish exposure, commitment to gaining proficiency
- Mathcad proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Spanish proficiency
- AutoCAD proficiency

Selected candidate(s) will be offered a twelve month contract with Agua Para el Pueblo. Applicants may inquire about obtaining P.E. certification qualifying experience.
