  • Polynesian Cycling Celebration Expression of Interest

    3rd - 12th November
  • USO MEMBERSHIP

You need to be a current USO Member to participate. Link will be in email after this form is submitted.
  • The purpose of the ride is to:

    • Showcase Polynesian champions who share their love of riding by cycling, fixing bikes, educating and upskilling community to ride
    • Showcase how many have faced their challenges during COVID and how they are overcoming as individuals, families and communities to move forward

    We will achieve this by:

    • Pre November ride:  Highlighting riders stories and preparation/wananga  via social media, to supporters, news platforms
    • Socialising preparation through cycling networks, family, work and community networks

    During Ride:

    • Community/school visits/talanoa
    • Church visits
    • Social media-live posts
    • Tracking riders

Our planning has taken into account the impact of COVID 19.

There are set timeframes to meet on route daily to ensure we arrive safely and 'on time' for the hui/fono at the end of each day.

Adhere to the NZTA approved safety plan & direction from Ride Director.

Therefore, the following recommendations serve as a guideline:

  • My Why.....

  • WHAT'S NEXT?

    The process for selection
  • Once you have completed the form, we will collate names and start conversations with interested members.

We will advise the full group at the end of June.  At that time we will seek initial deposits.

It's not about the bike-and in many ways it is about our stories, the challenge's, successes and many highlights over the previous 10 years. It's not about being the strongest or fastest cyclist but the ability as a collective to cycle as one-to nuture, tautoko and push each other.  This has guided us right from our very first ride from Aukilani to Porirua in 2011.

Please note:  We are fortunate to have the depth and breadth of experience to carry this out.  Any questions please direct to us.
