1. The auction will be conducted by a licensed auctioneer and will be conducted on a no commission basis
2. Ownership papers must be signed by all owners and delivered to vendor before picking up horse, or posted to Canterbury Standardbred Breeders’ Association, PO Box 8270, Riccarton, Christchurch, 8440, or provided on sale day
3. A sale can be cancelled by the Buyer if they can prove that the vendor gave false or misleading information
4. Vendor to give written reserve price to the Auctioneer prior to their lot being auctioned
5. If no such reserve given then the horse will be sold to the highest bidder
6. Bids will be accepted:
- from the floor
- by phone
- by previous written bid
- by previous arrangement by auctioneer
7. Payment can be made by cash
- cash
- credit card
- cheque
- direct credit to bank account by Monday 15th September 2014
8. The buyer must collect their purchases from the vendors property and at their cost
9. The buyer accepts ownership and liability from the fall of hammer, providing the vendor has provided due care and acceptable animal husbandry
10. Insurance cover can be put in place on fall of hammer by contacting JLT Bloodstock prior to the sale phone 0800 383 071 or advising sales staff upon purchase of horse
11. Nominations will be taken from throughout the country (note: horses are not required to be transported to the venue)
12. If you are not going to be present at the sale you must have organised someone to bid on your behalf.
13. Closing date for nominations is Friday 15th August 2014
