SYG is where Church groups from all over the State meet at Warragul for an action packed weekend of sport, community, fun and worship! The weekend runs from around 5:30pm on the Friday till Monday around 2pm. This year, SYG is on from 7th-10th June 2019.
If participating in sport/games, you generally will compete in 4 different time slots (sat morn, sat arvo, sun morn & sun arvo). If you aren’t playing sport, you will be able to go and cheer on any of the teams playing or you can help out with different things over the weekend (see details below). In the evening, you will have opportunities to go to the night rallies, SYG’s got talent, night activities, chilling by the fire, interacting with different churches and more! SYG is a great opportunity to make friends, enjoy each other’s company, whether you’re playing sport or not – everyone always has a great time!
WHO CAN COME?
If you are Year 7 and under 30-ish years old you are invited to come join the team to compete as we head down to Warragul for an amazing weekend! You can come for the whole weekend or just for a day as a participant or spectator.
WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO PLAY SPORT?
If sport is really not your thing, you can cheer on the Emerge team to victory as the world’s most passionate supporter during the day. But all other activities will be great for you! This may be chilling by the fire with your friends, attending the night rallies, watching or performing in SYG’s got talent or heading to the village for the dance parties, sports finals and lots more!
