  • Creativity in Education is no longer an option, it’s an absolute necessity - (Presentation)

From an industrial society to a knowledge based society and now to a creative society. This presentation challenges teachers and school administrators to keep up with societies changes or risk being irrelevant in the 21st Century.

Numeracy and literacy skills are important but not at the expense of the 5 C's creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, computational thinking and communication.

The role of the 21st century teacher is not to self-deliver content but to facilitate the understanding of key concepts and skills, cater for a range of learning styles and encourage the use of a range of tools that interconnect to help students construct learning and be creative.

Sir Ken Robinson says, “Creativity for me is not an option, it is an absolute necessity.” This presentation looks at some of the research surrounding the importance of creativity in education and provides samples of how creativity can be enhanced in the classroom using the modern communication tools provided by Adobe.

It also looks at some of the industry standard Adobe solutions and how they are being used within a range of education contexts globally.

  • Simple web design with Adobe Muse(Workshop) The Internet is an essential communication platform so developing skills to be able to produce quality websites is very important. Adobe Muse is a website creation tool for people who can’t or don"t want to code. It is a website creation tool for designers who want to worry more about the look and the content rather than the back end code. Websites are a great example of multimodal text and students who can develop skills to construct their learning with this type of communication will have a distinct advantage.
